Re: Quadrajet Carburetor For Sale

Still have this? Looking for a good rebuilder, just rebuilt a divorced choke, but looking for an electric one to fine tune, frankly the one i have runs awesome, but with cold weather coming up i dont want to deal with a manual choke. Looked at the numbers on the carb and the 9 doesn't add up I can't find where a 9 means anything. Usually that digit is a 1-8 and it denotes application.

Also are you still asking 90? That's a bit more than I am looking to spend.

Re: Quadrajet Carburetor For Sale

one of the other board members offered a couple for 60 shipped in my wtb thread. I don't know the history on his, and I found a couple local for 25 each, but they didn't work all that well on the truck. If your's worked good, I might be willing to hit the 50-60 dollar mark shipped. At least that way I know it worked at one time. I just wanted to see what was out there, I know there's a huge junk yard near me that I'm sure has a bunch of these, basically I want a known good buildable core. From a yard they really don't know if it worked at all...

I'm sure you understand my dillemma. By the time I buy a full rebuild kit, I'm looking at 150 bucks for that, the good kit with new jets, needles, etc. If I drop 90 on a core i am into this thing for 240 already, at that point, I could buy a rebuilt one from someong for little to nothing more. it's 6 of one, half dozen of the other. I'll keep you posted.
