Hey all!

Well, Not new to cars, but new to the one I just got. Have been hunting a 70's stepper since I was 12. Just got one from my wife on Fathers day and am now 29. Was rather surprised.
Interesting story on this truck, but I won't get into that. Needless to say, I was delightfully surprised at what I found.
The guy who owned it originally chopped the top, but didn't get it quartered and bent the A-pillars back. Hacked up the doors pretty good, and there is Bondo everywhere.
Factory 350 in it, but needs alot of work.
Found out it has a Muncie 4 speed toploader, but don't know which one yet.
He cut the springs in the front and did an axle flip in the rear.
Only has 27-30k on the clock. Will need alot of work as I have already stripped the interior and found a little rust in the pans.
Looking forward to my work-in-progress.
I have spent years working on my Cherokees and have owned 5 of them. I do all of my own work and I have never had anything but fuel injection. This whole Carburetor thing is gonna be fun and a huge learning experience.
I look forward to hassling all of you with my questions and concerns.
Thanks in advance everyone and I will see you in the forums.
Scott

Re: Hey all!

I have seen many a phenomenal Grand and I like them. I have owned nothing but XJ's and will sing their praises as often as I can.
A great resource for you is Cherokeeforum.com. They have a great section on Grands and there are alot of phenomenal sources and vendors.
As for my truck, it is definitely a process that will take several years.
I will keep a healthy picture log of what I am doing and will keep pics updated in the build process.
I look forward to working on this project and I am very excited to be apart of this community as well as the Jeep community.
Thanks again for the warm welcome!
