Motor/engine mount question
I am gathering my parts for my engine swap on my 94 with a 4.3 liter to a 5.7 liter. Can someone give me a link to the engine/frame mounts that I would need? I have looked but all I can come up with are the rubber mounts. I am assuming that one of the mounts is the steel/rubber part and the other is steel (cradle). Thanks in advance for your help.

Re: Motor/engine mount question
I think the ones are your 4.3 will bolt onto the 350. I'm not 100% sure, but I would try if I were you.

Re: Motor/engine mount question
Thanks Joe. Its good to see someone local and on top of that a Chavez as well.
I went to Autozone and asked to see the motor mounts for the 4.3 and 5.7 liter engines. Sure enough they are different. It shows that the rubber mount goes on the frame for the 5.7 liter. The only part that I am unsure of is the part that is attached to the engine I believe some call it the cradle. I am hoping that the one that is on the 5.7 currently will fit over the new mounts. The 5.7 liter is a Gen 1 block. |

Re: Motor/engine mount question
I would call it a bracket vs. a mount so as not to get the two confused. Obviously, these are the mounts...

Re: Motor/engine mount question
You need brackets like this. On each side of the engine brackets are braces/ brackets that tie in to the bellhousing on a 4WD. A trans for a 4WD has additional bracing that a 2WD doesn't use. A 2WD may need a spacer in place of the brackets on each side that I've shown.
