Disc Brake Conversion

Looking for all parts needed(off of a 71-72) to convert my 69 from front drum to disc. It is a 6 lug so if converting front to 5 I will need to convert rear as well.
I would prefer local so I can do the conversion the cheapest way possible. I do not have $$800.00-$1000.00 to spend on this conversion

Re: Disc Brake Conversion

I have some stuff you need, check this out...

All you would need to complete this brake system would be brake hoses and a disc/drum proportion valve.

Re: Disc Brake Conversion

Good price for what Rusbuilt is offering. I believe they also sell a disk brake conversion kit for the 6 lugs now. That will allow you to keep the 6 lug rearend as well.

Re: Disc Brake Conversion

You can use the very cheap 73-87 chevy truck front suspension. Cheaper parts to rebuild too.

Re: Disc Brake Conversion

Thanks for all of the replies guys
I will look in to the 73-87, I looked at a few kits that will keep me 6-lug but all of the ones I looked at were pretty expensive! I am trying(having) to do this as cheap as possible!

Rusbuilt- let me do a little more checking on this, That is a great price for what you have! But if I can keep this truck 6 lug I think that is what I want to do so I don't have to mess with the rear end?!?!?!

If anyone knows of a kit that is a good deal feel free to chime in here
