I have a '66 GMC 1/2 ton fleet that I would like to install a set of Early Classic Enterprise lowering leaf springs on the rear. It looks like the front attachment point is enclosed in a bracket that would make it very difficult to get a wrench on the nut. Is this something you can do without taking the bed off?

Also, assuming this is a one man job, what are the pitfalls and any tips to make things go a little easier?

spray everything down for a few times with PBblaster and or have a torch ready to aid in removing hardware

i've jacked up one side at a time and removed and replaced leafsprings without the need of removing a bed or bodypanels

Well make sure you have urethane bushings to go with your new springs, just throw the old stuff out. Its not hard to change leaf springs solo but having someone help make you at least 3 times faster, if they are competent. 20lb sledge and a short wedge gets things loose pretty quick but a few hours with a good penetrating oil can make it easy.
