77 seat into 70 model.. fitment???

Guys , i currently have a set of bucket seats in my truck (70 stepside) that the previous owner fitted,, my question is , will a 77 model c30 bench seat fit? ive seen photos and they seem to sit up on a 'hump' which can be sorted but is the width and height workable?? are these cabins generally the same size?

thanx , Gav

i think i could make mounts to fix that problem , its more the physical dimensions as in 'width' and ' back height'

Re: 77 seat into 70 model.. fitment???

My 69 stepside came with a mid 70's GMC bench seat. It fits in the cab rather well, back rest comes up to the bottom of window, good fit side to side. Whoever put this in, made risers to raise the seat up. (they just used 4 inch pieces of pipe at front, shorter ones for the back that the bolts sit in. Not the safest way to go...) Also, these did not line up with the existing bolt holes in floor so they drilled new ones and added large washers on bottom. Truck had a little of this and a little of that added to it before I got it.

I'm planning on going back to an original seat in the near future but kept this one so long because it's in nice shape and comfy.

Can't find many pics showing it except this one:
