Upper door hinge bolt?

So I was trying to adjust my door today on my '78 and I noticed that one of the bolts on the upper hinge bolts up from the inside, but when I took my lower kick panel out and searched I cannot find where the hell the bolt comes in from! Anyone know how to get to this bolt so I can adjust my door?

Yep almost inline wither the headlight switch there's is a grommet with the domelite wire for the door switches that has to be pulled out if its still there

Re: Upper door hinge bolt?

Yeah the best way to get to it is removing the driver side air vent....Then you can see the rubber grommet for the door jamb switch and remove it so you can get a ratchet in there....

It was a pain in the butt for me too!!

Re: Upper door hinge bolt?

Just a question, why didn't the engineers use the same set up as the other two bolts? Weld a nut on the inside & bolts from outside....I guess that would be wwwwaaaayyyyy too easy!!!!!!
