Re: Gas Smell
You can check to see if the grommet around the filler is good. Some times it will leak a little there if over filled. There is also a ton of threads about swapping to a rear fuel tank and getting it out of the cab.The other thing to check would be vent's and hoses.A cap can also cause this if the cap is supposed to vent the tank but it has a sealed cap.
That's the things I can think of off hand.

Re: Gas Smell
Also look at the rubber hoses. These can weep enough for a smelly cab but not enough to indicate a leak.

Re: Gas Smell
if you can find no visible leaks - and you're perhaps not used to an in-cab tank sorta truck, I'd submit it's par for the course. You will likely get some fumes in the cab from time to time, especially when you fill up. If it's over-powering and persistent, then that's not normal, probably need to dig further - and the suggestions above are good ones.

Re: Gas Smell
At the far end of the scale, If it's real strong, check your rear cab mounts! My stepside cab drooped down on the passenger side from rot and the bolt actually pierced the tank just enough so gas would weep out. (I have another cab I'm going to rebuild for it, just rigged it for now) Took me a while to figure out what was causing the smell.
This same thing I found on a parts truck I bought last year so it's probably more common than one might think.

Re: Gas Smell
Probably just a little bit of smell from the vented gas cap. Common on all trucks with the cap right near the drivers left shoulder.
Also... you say "no leaks". How about under the hood? Any carb leaks? A leaky carb will put some gas stink in the cab. Gary
