Black Beauty 04' 2500HD 4x4 CrewCab

Just a quick little project. This is my 2004 Chevy Silverado 2500HD 4x4 crew cab LT. I live in Alabama and went to Arkansas to pick it up, by myself. This means renting a car and renting a uhaul trailer when I got there to drag the car back to Alabama with. The first pic is of that rig. The others are the truck when I got it home.

Re: Black Beauty 04' 2500HD 4x4 CrewCab

I added a few bolt ons which gives it it's own identity. I am done at this point because I need to get focused on my 67' SWB fleetside C10. This is what it looks like today.

MODS: Raceline 20x9 wheels with BF Goodrich 275/65R20 (34's) tires. LMC billet insert and black billet grille emblem. Chrome exhaust tip and I replaced the front valance because the original one was cracked and busted. I also added an Optima battery.

I bought a 3/1 key and block lift kit, but I couldn't get the torsion bars lose to install it. All I did was crank up the factory torsion bars.

That is correct. I just thought I would get my daily driver right before I started on my C10.

Resto newb, you have to have a torsoin bar tool it look like s c clamp but like a 100 times stronger. I bought one over a year ago and just used it for the first time in the last week rekeying a torsoin bar. Jim

New upper ball joints installed. I noticed while I was under there I need to replace outer tie rods, oh well, they will have to wait until next time.

Very nice. Have a 04. If you haven't already heard, keep an eye out on the pump rub problems on the transfer case.

Funny you mention that. I have a new front transfer case cover waiting on me to install and pump correction mounting tabs. I also have a new pitman and idler arm to install.
Here's a pic of the pinhole.

Love the 300zx! Ordered my 2004 2500HD 4x4 Crew from factory. It was my daily driver for many years. Now it is driven to hunt, fish, tow boat, head to lake type truck. Mine has the 8.1/496-Allison combo. Great running truck. 106k miles so far.

Enjoy your CC!

Re: Black Beauty 04' 2500HD 4x4 CrewCab

Thanks friend! I love my CC. I have been asked several times to put a price on it but I just can't. I'm afraid someone will buy it! It's my everything driver, which isn't a lot since I'm only home roughly 6 times a year for a few days at a time. It's getting close to 200,000 miles. Here's a pic of her helping with my C10 project.

Funny you're from Omaha. I flew out to Lincoln to buy my 300zx then drove it to Alabama.
