Just depends what you're in the market for. 4k could get you a real nice stockish truck and still have a good thousand or two left over. But if you wanted something that has already been modified you could still probably get a decent ride for that kind of money. I guess the biggest factor is location.

It varies by location, but mainly patience. 4k and patience will get you something much better than 4k alone.

I agree wait it out there are so many of these trucks around you should be able to find something pretty nice for 4k. Here in Montana that would get you a very nice driver. Craigslist is your friend!!

There is alot out there thats for sure, the ones i have looked at have all been 1-2k trucks. I will keep looking!

This was a $2,600 truck, but I looked for a long time and bought it at an auction. It needs a new passenger door, new passenger bed side, and new cab corners, but it was an old man truck and the interior is really clean and it runs well. '87 V20 with a 350. Patience and luck will get you what you want.
