Looking For Some Feedback on Seats

A friend (the kind of friend that we're long passed keeping score) gave me these leather seats today. I bought a package deal a few years ago and he got these,
I used the "middle seat" in another truck. These would have to be raised up about four inches. No big deal there. They are just sitting on the floor for a look-e-see.
He also brought all the switches and "valances" (or whatever you call the plastic stuff that covers the tracks).

He has a console that fits in between. I think it's 67-72, but I'm not sure. I have enough carpet material (from the kick-panels and that I'm using up front on the fire-wall
to cover the Dynamat) that I could cover the gas tank. Not sure, but I may be getting into too many shades of gray with these bucket seats.

Or, I use this newly upholstered bench I got about three years ago?

I like buckets. I like leather. I like adjustability. But I like the bench seat,
too. I feel lucky to have the option.

Ultimately, I know it's a personal choice. But I'd appreciate any opinions.

theyre sharp looking, they look comfy unlike somthing you would have to winch yourself out of. I'd use them, i like leather and power, but i have a bench in my truck because its not uncommon for me to have 2 people with me. how often would you use the middle seat??

Pretty rarely, really.

Re: Looking For Some Feedback on Seats

I vote for the bench, have had 3 or 4 seat combos in my truck but i think the plain old bench seat looks the best by far.

Re: Looking For Some Feedback on Seats

I agree that only a bench looks "right" in these trucks, but for a truck that I hope to drive everyday in the not so far future I really wanted buckets with 3-point seat belts. I also wanted to be able to take two other people with me if I had to. GM buckets with the flip up jump seat had everything I wanted in one package. I'd say put a leather jump seat in between your buckets and you'll have the best of both worlds.

Looked on craigslist and ebay everyday for about two months and eventually found these for $300. They were out of an avalanche and the owner wouldn't let me take em without taking the rear seats off his hands. Let's see how much they end up costing once I sell those.

I argree with putting in late model stuff in your ride but in this case the buckets you have look really good in there. If you are lucky maybe you get "50 Shades of Gray" in the cab. The better half might like that! Ha.

NO, but seriously put the buckets in unless you are going with a resto-style or staying 'period correct', turn on the A/C and enjoy.

Re: Looking For Some Feedback on Seats

I personally prefer the factory seats in these trucks. The late model seats make the interior look crowded. I am also not a fan of being able to see the headrests through the back window.

Me too.
I like the seat (bench or bucket) below the back window.

I vote for the bench.
