It's not a total loss. The front clip looks salvageable and I'm sure the drivetrain could be put to better use too!

This may have been the "builder's" first attempt:

That is a sweet Blazer. Even if you don't like it, you have to admire the craftsmanship.

Other than the VIN, it's not a Blazer or even close. It's a one-off customized vehicle. The work was performed with a lot of skill, ingenuity, and $$$ - far more than I have in any of those categories. Kudos to that!

1971stepside, in response to your statement you have since edited, you're right. If it were a boardmember displaying their pride and joy, I'd have passed with nothing to say. That is simply good manners. Since it appeared not to be, I voiced my opinion with sarcastic humor.

Yes, I edited it because I don't want to throw stones and cause a debate. If you can't say something nice don't say anything at all.

And how would one know for sure if a truck or Blazer doesn't belong to a current member or perhaps a future member? Again, my original comments were not directed towards anyone specific.

I think when you own/build a vehicle this far out on the edge you expect love it or hate it opinions. Attention is what this vehicle is about, be it positive or negative.

Anyone with the means to afford such a vehicle would laugh at the rusted junk I have and dismiss my opinion anyway. But at least none of them have a cut dash! <-- Editor's note: More tongue-in-cheek humor not meant to offend anyone in any way for any reason in any season

Guys, you gotta admit that that is a cool blazer, and a real nice piece. But I am more of a "real world" truck that some one with out an unlimited budget built. Thats why I think my favorite "magazine" truck will always be Jim Austs Circus Wagon from Sport Truck, back before that magazine started sucking.

I believe the owner/builder is Mike King. Front end is Mustang II, lots of hand formed stuff, and so on. I had a whole bunch of pics of it but can't find them

{such an easy setup... I couldn't pass it up}

People don't need "means" to dismiss your opinion. <---- Alert: More tongue in cheek

What's with putting a Mustang II front end under Chevy vehicles anyway? It looks to me a second generation Camaro front end would be a better choice - keeping it all Chevy for one thing and better handling for another.
