Yes I'm new. I found this on craigslist for $1000. I bought it from the son in law of the original owner. Would like to take it back to all stock. I'm looking for the correct 2 barrel carburetor, intake and air cleaner, also the full wheel covers and a AM push button radio. If anybody going to Springfield this fall with the parts I need, I'll be there Saturday. I can't wait to get started with this project.

Re: 1972_c10
We will start working on our truck soon, but I would like to get some input from others.
Here is a list of things I want to do first: 1. Tires - Goodyear Wrangler Radial Tire P235/75R15 2. Carrier Bearing - LMC 34-1671 3. U-Joints(All) - LMC 34-1620 4. Front Engine Mount - LMC 34-0324 5. Rear Engine Mount - LMC 34-0320 & 34-0322 6. Trans Mount - LMC 34-0362 Just making a good driver, not a show truck. Any thoughts would be great. Thank you! |

Re: 1972_c10
A friend of mine has a running 1985 Monte Carlo SS 305 H.O. engine mated to a TH200-4R for a great price. I've been looking for EDFABMAN's post on his swap from 3 on the tree to TH200-4R. Could someone send me a link to it? I am thinking of rebuild both the engine and trans and drop them in at the same time. Any thoughts on using this engine/trans combo?
