88-98 5 lug rally`s on a square
Is the backspacing different? Are they 7" or 8"? Do they affect a lowered truck? Any pictures? .........man, I ask a lot of questions don`t I?

All 88+ 5X5 ralleys I've seen are 7". Yes, back spacing is different. The suspension is further out than our trucks due to frame design.

The suspension is further out? So your telling me they have more or less backspacing.

Re: 88-98 5 lug rally`s on a square
If I remember correctly, the rear axles are 5/8" longer (10 bolt) then the pre '88.

Re: 88-98 5 lug rally`s on a square
After waiting to see how they would work, ended up with wheels and tires for nothing. I guess I`ll make them work. So hopefully I will be an authority on these soon.

Took me a while to find a GM 88+ stock ralley wheel. Notice the 15x7 pattern and offset. |

Re: 88-98 5 lug rally`s on a square
If I understand what you are looking for...... and i may not. THe backspacing did change but the other issue is the bolt pattern changed to the later metric pattern. You would need a adapter to make it work. Because of the different off set you would need billet adapters to correct for the narrower trac with if the bolt pattern weren't an issue.
These guys make what you would need. Not terribly expensive either. Lots of guys have issues with adapters but I feel its blown out of proportion. http://billetwheeladapters.com/ |

Re: 88-98 5 lug rally`s on a square
Bolt pattern was 5x5 all the way till they went 6 lug. Back spacing is the issue.

Lug spacing is the same, its the thread and size that changed.

Re: 88-98 5 lug rally`s on a square
Off the top of my head I'd say 85-91. The guy across the street from me has a 91 Burb 1/2 ton 4wd and has those wheels on it.

Re: 88-98 5 lug rally`s on a square
..I had these on my 84 truck and when I changed to the 28 spline later axle I had to get all new metric lug nuts. Backspacing was not a problem with my drop except for the normal grinding of the caliper.. |

Re: 88-98 5 lug rally`s on a square
They snap on to the lugs..So I think they would fit on anything with the same 5 bolt pattern..

The rally from 88 up does not look terrible on the squares. Not as bad as the aluminum wheel does at least.
