Getting to the root of the Ad to find a Carpac
Well like most Folks, I search the CL (Craigslist), looking for interesting items, Trucks, rareities but mostly; to window shop and entertain myself.
Now on items that I seriously pursue, I always look for a pic and don't usually waist my time on "descriptives" or ads without photos. So I find this ad for a; Roof Rack 1920-1959 $xxx This roof rack is the per addition to your oldie but goodie Great condition-just some spit and shine Hmnn? So I sent a follow-up request for a pic. I totally forgot about it when I got the reply with a pic(first one). I knew what it was by the style so I went to pick it up that night. It is indeed a Carpac by Carter; Measures 42"x60" one of the cups is loose, but just needs a good detailing and the attaching hooks. I guess it pays to dig deeper sometimes.
