Just picked up an 85 C10

Posting this for my cousin. He's making an user now. But he just picked up an 85 C10 with an 305 in it. It has stock exhaust manifolds and a janky exhaust. He wants to have duals ran and I suggested putting some headers on it then get the exhaust finished up.

First question is what cheap headers do you guys recommend for the 305? Was thinking $200-$300. Not after super performance here just a nice header.

Second question is it needs a new dash pad. Where do you guys recommend getting a stock one. We'd like to find a factory one. I read on here they still make them or someone bought them out and might have one.

On to some pics!

There are tons of header options for a small block in the 2-3 hundred range. I recommend getting as thick flanges as possible.

LMC Truck has all the stock parts you can imagine.

as opposed to getting a whole pricey dash pad you may wanna consider a glue on cover.. they fit nice... Rayco did mine

Re: Just picked up an 85 C10

I guess my header question is do any fit any better than others or anything of that nature? I don't want to have to modify anything. Just put em on and then take it to the exhaust shop.

any pics of the dashboard?
