SPID reprints?

Hi new to the site and am getting ready to rebuild my 70 K10. I found out that I am the second owner of this truck. the PO had a rollbar welded in the cab, I cut it out and while doing so noticed that they cut the corner of the glove box door to clear the rollbar. got a new to me glove box door and was wondering if anybody out there that reprints the SPID sheet on the door. I have to paint the box door and dont want to lose the spec sheet info.
Thanks in advance

Re: SPID reprints?

There is a member here "chipflyer" I think that does replacement spid labels, here is a link to his website.

http://www.outintheshop.com/

You can add or change options as you like to suit your build or just have an original one reproduced.

Re: SPID reprints?

the typewriter font will not match the original and it will look very obviously homemade.

Scott is correct, you will not find a typewriter font that matches.

Re: SPID reprints?

here are a few screen grabs from that excel doc I have.
I'm willing to send it to anyone who may want it free of charge.
I know its not perfect, but I figure since I have it might as well share if others are interested.

Re: SPID reprints?

I have 2 NOS SPID labels I'll gladly sell if some one wants to do the above. Cause it isn't worth it to me to try it. I'd mess it up and be emailing Jeff any how.

Re: SPID reprints?

Thanks for the kind words, guys. I do appreciate it and also enjoy working with folks to get their labels perfect! I feel that for people who are into detail and are picky about what they add to their trucks, the labels are a great value. It isn't a simple process to do these, and it takes a bit of time to do one. I do get to all of them eventually and greatly appreciate patience during the process. I have a full-time job, two great (and young) kids and a wife that I enjoy spending time with. At times, it can get hard to squeeze in the labels. To speed the process, I have found that it works best to do the labels through email. I have enjoyed visiting about trucks and SPIDS with those who have called in the past, but can no longer afford the time it would take to visit with everyone who wants to have one by made over the phone.

Blank labels with a typewriter font or the excel file are not bad options IF you want to add non-original items to a label. In fact, I recommend it. I am proud to offer the correct label with the perfect text, but if if we add RPO codes to it that were never originally available, most would agree, it defeats the whole purpose!

Jeff

i agree even if you are adding options that werent originally available on the 67-72 trucks. I will be adding power windows to my spid but am building a truck as a "How i think it should have been available in 67" and that is how i will advertise it if someone asks. thats just me. either way Jeff's spids are the way to go no matter how long the wait is.
