just wanted to say thanks

to everyone for all the help i've recieved while tryin to get my sons 66 together. well, after gettin the 86 front end, the cpt fab brackets, the boyd tank, the l33 and just last monday scoring a hood, two doors, bumper/grill, bed trim & windshield. we have decided to sell it and the 68 Camaro SS project. his absolute dream car is a GMC Typhoon and that is all i hear about. i told him no sense dumping more money in them if it isn't what he wants. so, i have buyers interested in both of them and shouldn't have problem ebaying/CLing the swap parts. i'll prolly still stop by and see the projects. guys on here are a great resource and any new member should consider themselves lucky to not hafta trial and error their way to a nice ride. thanks again guys

Re: just wanted to say thanks

I owned a '91 Syclone, and, while it was running, it was the most fun I have ever had in a car/truck. That little thing would move out. Be sure he gets a good data log system for the Typhoon. Those trucks require a lot of attention.

i've heard that the engines almost always need rebuilt even if kept stock. we won't be modding this much if at all. now i wish i wouldn't have sold my innovate datalogger off the turbobusa

Re: just wanted to say thanks

thanks for the link. i've also browsed syty.net just checking what's available. from what i've gathered, an engine rebuild is purdy much a guarrantee with these. luckily there is nothing special about them so it shouldn't cost much. i'd rather see him get a national or even an 89 trubo t/a if he's gonna go this route. i say those t/a's will be worth money someday since only 1555 were ever made.

on anther note. i wake up today to a text my buddy sends that he sold the the L33 already.

Re: just wanted to say thanks

i guess i'll just put it up for anyone needing one. i have a side fill, efi, sending unit, rollover vent boyd tank that hasn't been out of the box i'd sell for $600+ shipping. that is near $100 off what you'd pay today. hope that can help someone out that needs one quick and cheap
