1972 C-10 Build

So here is my June Carter Cash, a 1972 Chevrolet C-10 long bed. Picked her up for $1100. Small block 350 that came out of a '77 dually, half ton front end with a 3 quarter ton rear end and 10 bolt main. I'll be posting pictures and progress updates as she slowly transforms.

Here's the interior, a bit of a mess right now. I'm waiting for my buddy to come over so we can replace my heater core, it started spewing coolant into my cab and steaming all out of the defroster vents on my dash one night driving home from work, interesting drive home!

Haha I had a similar incident the first time my fiance discovered the handle to the lower vents... leaves everywhere lol

So I got the heater core replaces, God that old one was nasty. A new radiator will be needed as well, I don't think my coolant should be brown haha.

Decided I'd touch up my grill with some gloss black rattle can, I'm getting a billet eventually but I didn't like the faded grey it was originally.

I also got my new radiator in, aluminum 3 row. Now I don't have to worry about overheating anymore!

Also got my valve covers today, these will be going on hopefully tomorrow night along with my new radiator hoses, carburetor, and intake manifold

I apologize to anyone who reads this and doesn't see anything new, I was hit by a motorcycle last Wednesday and I've been laid up for most of the time with a fractured wrist and multiple abrasions all over which have been VERY unpleasant, but I should be good in about a week or so and I will resume posting updates, I promise!

Posting here should be the least of your concerns! Hope everything works out ok. I know first hand that a bike accident is no joke so I'm just glad you're ok

So since you can't work on the truck tell us how a grown man gets hit by a motorcycle, were you walking or riding a bike? Can't imagine you were driving something.

I was walking across the street, headin to the auto parts store to meet my buddy there to pick up some stuff. I looked left and right, and started across. I glanced right to make sure no cars were coming, and then I glanced left and out of the corner of my eye I saw a motorcycle RIGHT on my ass, and heard a scream and felt him clip me in the a**. I was knocked out for about 5 minutes and then woke up with a bunch of people around and two guys (one off duty EMT, the other a retired cop) helping me over to the curb since I was lying in the middle of the road.

So here's one I just took right now, I got the hood and right fender painted, with purple emblems. I'm going to paint the whole truck that same primer grey with a purple top, same purple as the emblems.

Your truck is looking a lot better on each post. It's smart to fix them up but keep them on the road at the same time. That way you enjoy both part's. Then the next time you see the guy on his bike when your in your truck you can clip his a$$.

I have the reverse story actually. I went through a stop sign and hit a guy on a motorcycle that ran the stop sign. He didn't like being hit by my truck either. He went flying onto another car and had several broken ribs and a trashed bike. Guess it will teach him to stop from now on. Of course, I had damage on my truck too though, as it was a BIG bike.

Damn, well it sure does pay to obey the road signs haha, guess some people will never learn. Yeah I'm pretty sure it was a Harley or a Harley equivalent that hit me, probably a Honda Shadow cause it was quiet as hell
