Who sells really good floor jacks. My son bought one at sears that lasted about one year. I have a Walker jack. It is 4 feed long, and the handle is 3 feet 6 inches long. It can lift the front of the truck. I have used it for 30 years, and it is still working. He wants it. NOT

Ive had this one for over 6 months and it works good. Its not a super high quality one but isnt a walmart jack either.

Might also consider finding a used Hein-Warner
of the right size and rebuild it.

VERY good jacks and will last him forever.

I found this co. that sells new jacks. they also rebuild them. A 3 ton PHI brand is $259.00 plus shipping. comes with a 1 year warranty. phjjacks.com

I have a two ton Snap On floor jack that i bought off the truck back in 1986. I think at the time they were actually made by blackhawk. Never once has it let me down (unless I turned the knob) And I have never had to do any maintenance to it. Seems to me it was on the expensive side, in fact I think I just paid it off. Looking at the cost of it over 25 years though I think i did right..

I bought a blue monster (cornwell) jack off the truck when we opened the shop back in 2007. Thing has been to hell and back and still works like the day we bought it. I'm thinking I paid about 200 for it back then and I think it is a 3 ton.
I got some used AC Delco floor jacks about a year ago, they are all 2.5 ton. Two of them still work properly but one of them will leak off after about 3 hours or so. We only use it for "right now and done" stuff.

I have a Walker. It is a 4 ton according to PHI co. I know it is aver 40 years old. If it goes bad I will have it rebuilt. It will be an antique some day. Then I will hang it on the living room wall.

to make floor jacks last longer get into the habit of jacking using jackstands and lowering the jack quickly// leavin the load on the jacks for prolonged times shortens thier life

i have a sears jack it is almost 15years old with never a problem

True. And never work under a vehicle with the jack holding the vehicle up. Put it on jack stands in a secure place. Then lower the jack.

Milwaukee Model 40 or Norco, you will be set, Milwaukee is worth the money if want a little cheaper go with Norco. Last bottle jack I bought was a 20ton Norco, it's chineese but it's a great jack. But, I bought it for construction so I toss it in and out of trucks and lift everything but automoive. Basically abusing it badly. It's turned out to be a never leak never die!

I bought my last jack here Otto Service. But I live near buy and picked it up in Burbank along with some some jack stands. You may find guys more local. But you should call this guy and talk to him for education for sure. He was real helpful when I delt with him a few years ago.
