lt1 t56 swap starter wont fit?
i havent seen anything on this here after search upon search so i need info probably from someone whos done the swap. my stock starter wont fit in the t56 bell housing, i have 3 sbc starters laying around and all are the same and none fit. ive heard/ read that some manual tranny gm cars had a smaller starter can anyone confirm or deny this? i dont need an expensive aftermarket gear reduction, i just need a stock gm starter that will bolt to my old *****010 gm 350. im using centerforce adapter flywheel 700107. says its 153 tooth.

ok finally yes the stock starter fits providing your old block is drilled and tapped with the extra starter holes, which mine is YAHOO! problem solved plus its much smaller and leaves plent of room for headers
