64 GMC-Chevy wiring the same?
I am trying to track down a decent wiring harness for my 64 GMC. I haven't worked up enough anger yet to pay for a $500 harness. A local guy says he has a complete, and "Nearly intact" wiring harness from a 64 chevy.
Are they the same? or should I just bite the bullet and get a professional one. I have played with the one in my truck and I think it is beyond my skills to repair. Any input is greatly appreciated. My both are 64 1/2 tons. |

I believe that the dash cluster is the major difference. I know that the GMC fellow from Jollies site are always complaining that they are not the same. then there is the single h/light vs the dual h/light thing

I bought a complete wiring replacement made by American Autowie off of eBay for 450. You might check there if you decide to buy the kit.

Re: 64 GMC-Chevy wiring the same?
I am leaning towards just purchasing a whole kit. Is the American Wiring one off a ebay pretty solid? I have read several of the suggested wiring stickies...but it doesn't seem like any one particular kit stands way above the rest.
Im looking for something that is easy to install and good quality. If I have to pay a little extra to have it done right then so be it. |
