New Product Announcement!!

Well we have been in negotiations with the original manufacturer of the Plastic Firewall Clutch Delete Cap for the 67, 68, 68, 70s. We should have them sometime around mid August. We will be retailing them at $2.50 each and are made in the USA!! Yes that is what I said... They will be gray, just like the originals also. We wanted to do them in Black too, but since it is a custom part they would only let us have one color. Gray was stock, so that is what we went with. We will be updating our on-line catolog soon! WES

After doing the manual to th350 auto swap, I find myself with a hole in my firewall. In the winter I use that hole to run my cables out to operate my plow. Since I've never had my hands on an original clutch delete cap I have to ask, is this a part that will go on and off many times without breaking?

I think that was for the 71's and 72's. My 1972 Has a metal one with the 2 screws.

Re: New Product Announcement!!

this is a 67 70 part, you could techinically put it on a 72 but then you would have 2 screw holes.

Re: New Product Announcement!!

Thanks guys. Yes they are 67-70 and they will work for the trucks up to 72, however you will have screw holes to deal with. We are also working on manufacturing the steel plug with foam seal. However having to make our own tooling for the cap and the seal will drive the price up with that one I am sure. I think that we were lucky that the manufacturer still had the original tooling to make the plastic one. They originaly manufactured these for GM back in the day. They emailed me the original drawings for the plug and they are dated back to March of 1966, so they will be EXACT replicas of the originals. The only difference that may happen would be a slight variation in color, but I ordered the original color so it would be slight. WES
