Anyone using the lower door speaker pods that fit 2 3" speakers?

I found THESE on ebay and I was wondering if anyone was using them.

I have some extra speakers so I thought about sticking them in the doors like this.

Looks like a cool set up, prolly less cutting required than adding 6x9's to the doors. Let us know how they fit and sound

I'll do that. I have a highliner headliner with 4" speakers already. I have 4 extra 4" speakers. I think I found a spot for them

I was also going to put 5" speakers in the kick panels but I don't know if that would be too.much speaker and look goofey with 3 speaker pods...?

Depending on the kick panel set, you may not be able to use the ebrake, thats what's kept me from using them.

I wouldn't put anything on the door like that. You will get much better sound from a 5" in the kicker than two fours in your doors. Unless you have ears in your feet...

Haha I hear you (not with my feet) on that. Well I got 4 extra 4" speakers and I don't really need them or know what to do with them. I'm probably going to go with the kickers too but I don't know if it will look goofey beside the 2 4" speakers on the door.

I already have 6x9s behind the seat that will soon be joined by some 10" shallow mounts.

?

Re: Anyone using the lower door speaker pods that fit 2 3" speakers?

I have a piece of covered plywood on the lower door panel. The wood is cut to shape. Forward, I have one 6" speaker on each side. I also had to cut the lower door panel to fit the large speaker magnets. Looks good and sounds great with 2-6X9", 2-12" bass thumpers, and dash tweeters. 8 speakers total in the cab. Sound? Well, you can listen too loud with the windows closed!! Your ear drums will hurt!!
