Oil pressure sending unit
I've got a 2003 Yukon XL with the 6.0 and automatic. My gage is pegged high on the oil pressure gage. Can someone direct me where to look for the sending unit for this? A pic would be nice, but a good description would probably work. I'm not sure if it's the gage or the sending unit or something else, but I don't even know where to look right now.

Re: Oil pressure sending unit
The sender is behind the intake...pic.
If you jump pins 1 & 3, The gauge should read 0. If you jump pins 2 & 3, The gauge should peg. DO NOT jump pins 1 & 2, PCM damage can & will result! If the gauge is still unresponsive.....The stepper motor in the gauge is bad....Very common problem |

Re: Oil pressure sending unit
The gage works, tracks up and down. Sensor is bad. I ordered a new one plus the special socket for it to change it out. The reviews for the part on amazon both described the same problem I have and that the sensor replacement fixed it. Part number is AC Delco D1846A for those that might have a similar problem. Amazon was the cheapest supplier I found. It's surprising how many car parts they carry.
