car show pics

It's hard not to have an inferiority complex when parked next to a maseratti, lamborgini, ferrari on one side and a totally restore 1965 land rover on the other. But folks liked the truck, they say "oh, my dad had one like that", " I have good memories of a truck like that my grandfather had" "i drove one of those for 16 years". The truck makes people feel good.

Re: car show pics

you should have stopped by and said hello. It was a bit crazy waiting to be let onto the plaza, they changed the time from 3:30 to 4:30 and even then it took a long time to get parked. But it was fun and I met the folks on either side of me and they were very nice. (but i couldn't get the masarati owner to trade vehicles with me!) So, I might go again on August 24. But check the time for parking before you show up.

We have a monthly cruise in like that.Lambos Maseratis and all kinds of exotics, with street rods, classic muscle, trucks, rat rods and even a few lead sleds.Fun cruise and it's nice to watch the guys in the exotics looking at cars they could actually drive other than to a cruise.

Looking good on the Plaza. Plenty of class in that truck!

Re: car show pics

you guys are too nice! I'm beginning to really understand how well dad took care of the truck, and how original it is. It's really in great shape. One funny thing, the lamborgini had to be pushed in since he couldn't get it running while waiting to park, and it turned out to be a kit. Not gloating, and I know my truck could /will have problems, but i find it ironic that the lambo had to get pushed in and yet I drove my old truck in. So much for inferiority complexes and jealousy! I like the truck more all the time, it sounds strong, deep and rumbly! yeah, i'm shallow!

Re: car show pics

Maserattis, lamborginis and ferraris show up around here all the time (land of the microsoft millionaire and there is a dealership just of the street). Nice classics aren't as common.

The lambo looks like a fiero kit to me.
