Hey Mark and Mark
keep posting pics as we go. Very cool, maybe we'll get them done at the same time. I'm shooting for the end of August. Want to go to the Langley cruise in. I finally got the back end done, pulled the Burb out and now working on the interior and front end. It was nice to get it in the sun to see how the metallic and pearl worked together. I'm now thinking a I may use some tint and smoke the taillights. Thoughts?
Al

Re: Hey Mark and Mark
have been working on the Burb on and off, carpet and 2nd and 3rd row seats in, headliner and map lights in, rear AC and a couple other items, pics for these coming later. I did put one of the side mirrors on to see how the fit looked. One of those things where you don't know until it's done, I know some won't like it but since I've strayed far away from stock I think they fit great, gives me some extra mirror for pulling the airstream

Re: Hey Mark and Mark
I think a very light coat of tint on the tail lights would be nice to tone it down... They look like avalanche lights.. Would love to see more pics of them...

Re: Hey Mark and Mark
rear lights are '06 Escalade lights, slightly different than Avalanche - guide pins and screws....and about $300 difference because they are "cadillac". spent 3 months searching multiple craigslists and have 2 sets that cost $120 a pair.
had the panels cut out from a wrecked Escalade to graft in.

Re: Hey Mark and Mark
not enough pics on this forum, sure everyone is like me and needs a daily Pix Fix.
1st pic is why I delete the spare wheel well. wanted to put the air valves there, also there will be speaker jacks for the tailgate parties (hate cranking the volume with the doors open), I will also run a battery cable for a second Fuse panel for the compressors, inverter, and switch for a cargo light without having to go up front. Also have a air fitting in case of a flat tire (will carry a tire plug kit as well!) 2nd and 3rd pic. air ride computer. stereo amps mounted under the middle row seats allows for easy accessibility

Re: Hey Mark and Mark
I have the 2nd and 3rd row seats and carpet in, headliner, map lights and flip down DVD player. DVD player is up front because there is will be a rearview camera.
it's amazing how the camera picks up all the dust that i can't see.

Re: Hey Mark and Mark
for the headliner I used plastic sheets cut to size with the original panels (that were cracked), glued on 1/4" open foam for sound proofing with non perforated SoftSide upholstry. the font panel I had to notch and form to shape and glued a 2nd piece of plastic to keep the compound shape in the corners. I used strips of stainless steel (clear coated) and screwed to the bow supports. I made the bows slightly larger which made them support the headliner better. The map lights add a bit more support (especially the large front panel)
Cg, can't get it done quick enough, but being a novice........and I'm doing wiring now
