Talking Nsane Hot Rodz- 56' Chevy Truck Cab ReBuild!

Hello everyone! I had this 56' Chevy Truck cab come in a couple of weeks ago for metal work. The cab was sand blasted last week and we began the metal work Monday.

After Blasting...

That cab seemed quite rusty compared to most I have seen in east Tennessee. But it looks like they have brought it to a qualified person for the rebuild! Nice work and you are taking the time to do it right.

The more I see of some of the cabs people have to start with the happier I am with what little I had to change on mine.
You guys are doing a nice job on that one.

Me too. I'm feeling better about my cab already. I wonder how long that brazed on cab corner has been there.

Hey guys. This is my cab in the pictures. This is what happens when you buy a vehicle off of Ebay. To think they said this is not a "Rust Bucket". But thanks to this forum, I found NsaneHotRodz and they will save this cab for me. Still cheaper than buying a new reproduction and I'm keeping one on the road.

Welcome to the board.
Be sure and do a build thread so we can see the progress.

Hey they all start somehwere and saving a truck is like adopting a child, except the truck won't become a teenager and turn against you !!

In pic six, the back side of the cab vent, is the turned out flange the only thing that keeps water from blowing into the cab when driving in the rain? I've never driven mine in the rain but I have been wondering if the vents let water in.
