1990 chev c15 sport
well i finally found a truck, after looking forever, i bought one from my uncle, its a 1990 sport with a 5.7 and alot of missing parts. I have already started working on it but progress may be slow considering i dont have a steady income and i dont need the truck for 2 years as i am only 14 right now. If anyone has any questions or ideas just ask em'

Re: 1990 chev c15 sport
my plans for the truck are:
-stepside box -black with silver from the bottom of the lower bodyline to the bottom of the truck -front 2 inch drop spindles -rear 2 inch drop hangers and 2inch drop shackles -factory chrome wheels with black centers (for now) -headers -cowl induction hood -95 to 98 style mirrors and those are my only main ideas as of now, i would love to run true duals from the headers back with 3 inch pipe and dual thrush mufflers but i dont really want a fuel cell because its already a short wheel base and i would only have about4 feet in the box. if anyone has any ideas or suggestions they would be greatly appreciated. Brad. |

Re: 1990 chev c15 sport
I bought some inner fenders from my uncle for $50, I will post pictures later.I also welded up some pinholes in the floorpan and painted it with a brush and some tremclad. then I cleaned my carpet. I also bought a mint steering column from my uncle for 40 bucks with a steering wheel and horn button. I put the column in but I need a rad support before I can put the inner fenders in. I also took the metal pieces off the bottoms of my seat. I will post pics of everything when I get home. Thanks for looking.

Cool truck, I have the same model, check out my thread too. You can run dual exaust, just make one side come over the drive shaft at the front and stack two mufflers side by side.
Good luck, Matt

I see a lot of potential in that truck. At this point, you can be as detailed as you want since you have plenty of time before you can use it. There are so many directions you could take it too. One thing I would do is have an end goal. You can even do short term and long term. Make a list, price it out and then try to stick to it. TRY. No matter what...no matter what, have fun!

What polish and paint did you use? Both are looking good.

Re: 1990 chev c15 sport
okay so a little update here, i junked my parts truck, sold my wheels because i didn't like them (and i doubled my money and then some) and i stopped working on my truck because portable garages and nova scotia winters don't mix. now i have time to think seriously about what i will do to the truck next summer. first of all, i want to get the interior finished. since my door panels are crap, i was wondering if anyone has any pics of 95-98 door panels with the 88-94 dash?

Re: 1990 chev c15 sport
Wow nice find! From a 14 yr old to a 14 yr old I feel how hard it is to pay for all this, I have a 90 Chevy stepside that needs about every body panel but a fender and hood! Good luck!
