Dirty theiving SOB's

Not the truck but even more frustrating. Having to have shop space to tear the trucks motor down, I put the El Camino show car in the carport in front of the house. (nice quiet dead end loop / cul-de-sac ). All these stinking blowing dust storma I can't cover it with the dust cover or it would just 'sand' the finish dull.
http://www.small-block-chevy.com/myelky.html
Anyways ... Last nght at 6, I headed to the grocery store with the wife to pick up something to throw on the grill. At 6:20 my yongest had just happened to come by with his g/f to grab a clean shirt and scared off some theiving SOB bastage MF POS worthless puke that had just busted the window out of my Camino, totally dicked up the cab and door, the bright work around the window surround,, about $2k in damage. I mean COME ON YOU STUPID PUKES!!! it's a 67 with WING WINDOWS!!! you slide a pocket knife through the back of the rubber gasket and flip up the wing window latch,, not a mark anywhere and your iside in 2 seconds. phucking theiving pukes arent even smart enough to steel a classic (if they even could have).

Whatever they used to smash the window (after they tried to pry the door open!!!) they put between them and the door as they leaned in,, it ATE up the paint on the door and so hard it dug into the metal.

Guess I should be somewhat gratefull "The Club" and the 'in-dash' ignition switch was too much for their pea-sized brain and they didn't even try ,,, or they were scared off before they could destroy anything inside or electrical trying to figure out how to start it.
I've got enough safeguards that it ain't gonna start and drive away, and of course the vehicly the wife and I took to the store is the one that usually sits blocking in the Camino and race trailer.

Just so pissed and frustrated,, I feel the proverbial need to 'rip off their head and **** down the hole!"

sorry guys, just had to vent!!!

Saved the doors off the parts car so I have a spare window,, but the glass shop is closed today so I can't match the tint exactly, and I can just guess what the body man is going to charge me to fix the door/ cab. He had it for 11 months and $9700 worth to get it to here. And it's time to get back on evilbay looking for original bright-work for the window surround.

Dirtbags. Seems like they breed lots of them in CA and AZ...

Re: Dirty theiving SOB's

Cops came back by a bit ago to see if I had done anything to the car. Said there was a crew in town and stole 8 classics / upper end cars (that they know of) between 4pm and 7pm yesterday in BROAD DAYLIGHT. They got a friends 52 Chevy pickup, anothers 69 Olds 442.

Never thought I would say 'I was lucky' about this whole situation,, but it could be in a cargo container on it's way to B.F Eygpt right now!! Basically the cops attitude is there GONE, not a chance of catching the bastages or ever seeing these cars again.

Made be sick to my stomach,, literally!

Re: Dirty theiving SOB's

Thats rough man. I dont know how I would handle that. At least they didnt get the vehicle itself. Damage can be repaired, losing the entire vehicle is almost impossible to replace. Its a shame nobody caught the guys and put a bullet in em but such is life.

Re: Dirty theiving SOB's

This is why I will be putting a battery cutoff switch in a hidden panel under the floor of the truck once I get er done.

PO sucks to hear about what happened to your Camino but hey it is good you still have it. I hope insurance at least will help you pay for any damages.

Re: Dirty theiving SOB's

Sorry to hear about the Camino. Sucks that there are people who live to prey off others like that. My classics have been stolen, attempted to be stolen and vandalized numerous times. When they tried to take my 72 Cheyenne they brought an ignition switch and key set and unplugged the connector from behind the dash. Lucky for me I had a toggle on my MSD box so there was no power to start it. 1st night in years it was left in the driveway overnight too. Had to be watching and waiting. My 87 Grand national was stolen and never heard from again. Still have the title and both sets of keys to it in my nightstand drawer. Would love to catch someone in the act. Probably better that I don't though....

Re: Dirty theiving SOB's

This is a wake up call for all of us to get insurance based on what we feel the value is so in case stuff like this ever happened to any one of us at least we would be able to build a new one.

Ugh! Sorry to read about this. I'm a believer in "what goes around comes around," and they'll get what's coming to them soon. I think if you do find these bastards, several of us will be happy to hold them down for you.

Re: Dirty theiving SOB's

Sorry to hear that Marv, I would be one to shoot em! Then say he threatened to kill me. Gun laws are very liberal here, and dead people don't talk! I'm sick and tired of all the bad stories you hear these days, and the criminals have more rights then we do! Glad you still have the Camino!!

Re: Dirty theiving SOB's

wow that sucks!

we had a same incident a few days ago with our turbo 4 seater vw sandrail

had it stored under a carport at a buddys house me and the gf gone at dinner and my dad at a friends my mom seen the flashlight around the buggy (can see it from our front porch) my mom called my dad he flew home and actually chased the guy and the guy flew over fences. my dad left, went home,10

minutes later the dumb bastard came back!!
i got home 2 minutes after my dad chased him off with a gun right behind him ready to shoot lol
me and my pops searched our neighbors yard it was stored in(hes a truck driver) and the idiot tried breaking into his house as well.

a day later while driving we found out he was trying to steal the turbo, the air filter fell off, somehow destroyed the pushrod tube, and almost blew the motor for leaking oil.

dam thieves!
