Nice truck.

Is it a CST truck?

What options.

Chrome Bumpers have been ordered!

Im really stumped as whats the best lsx mounting. Should I go with adapter plates? or Get some mounts from CPP or the likes?

I used the tubular towers from POL and Trans Dapt adapter plates.

Alot of people also like the Dirty Dingo adapter plates.

Re: 69 Down Under

Hi Matt

Funny you say that I was looking at the dirty dingo site last night. They looked really good as they are adjustable, but I couldn't see them for the 67-72. they only had them for later model trucks?

Re: 69 Down Under

Nick, 63-72 trucks have their own style mounts and stands. Stock motor mounts and stands will work fine with just the adapter plates, since the motor mounts bolt straight to a SBC block. What I liked about the POL stands is they use more modern motor mounts.

The DD adapter plates are great because of the adjustability. The Trans Dapt adapters I used will actually set the enigine back about 3/4" compared to stock. I also mounted my stands in the 6-cyl location to set the engine as far back as possible. The DD mounts will allow you to mount the engine in the stock location if desired.

Re: 69 Down Under

Matt,

Thanks for the info, I really like the look of these
http://www.performanceonline.com/196...RACKETS-16820/

Are they the same ones you used? I'll have a look at your build and see how the motor sits

Cheers
