Re: admin

your thread was moved to another section of the board where it can and will be seen. Your thread was a review and a bad review of a company.. those get sent to the review area of our board. It was nothing personal.. it is the thought that the warning will go to all buyers of chevy truck parts as opposed to just the 73-87 guys.. Please PM myself or Powerdriver1958 should you have any further questions

Re: admin

You didnt do anything wrong. That arrow you saw was showing that the thread had been moved and where it had been moved to. Thanks for your support.

Re: admin

I think when such action is taken a PM to the thread poster with an explanation would be a great idea. It would avoid a lot of questions and hard feelings. A little extra up front would avoid a lot after.

Tim if we sent a PM every time we moved a thread to the correct forum, our day would be spent sending and replying to PM's. If you multiply the threads we move along with those we edit, close, infraction, or reply to it just isn't feasible to PM an explanation.

Re: admin

As you know,I was once forum staff. So,familiar with the tasks and time involved. I don't see that many threads moved all that often. I realize it's up to staff to make these decisions. But,that's my suggestion and I truly feel it would be a great help and worth the effort.

Re: admin

Yes, I am aware that you were once Staff which means you should understand the logistics of this just isn't feasible. While you might not see (or notice) many threads moved, I do.

If we send a PM to every thread moved, usually a conversation ensues. That turns in to several PM's to add to the many other PM's we have to respond to concerning dozens of issues on a daily basis.

Yes, its a warm and fuzzy idea, but it's more politics than practical.

Re: admin

I was thinking something more practical like a standard "canned" message, such as for telling people they must subscribe to post for sale,WTB,WIW,etc. that we would use. I see a lot of "why was my thread moved" posts that staff has to deal with, too. As I said before, just a suggestion.

Re: admin

I tried to post a new thread for trading material and it says I do not have the permission to do so. I cannot find anything about this in the FAQ. Thanks.
