Paint/Body ideas, please
I'm getting ready to finish the paint job on my 69 SWB. The color will be silver like the bed. I have decided to remove all the trim and badges. What about the mirrors, should I keep the original 69 style or go with the 72 sport type? Front bumper, chrome or painted? What color should the interior be? What about the side marker lights? Should I weld up any seams? I drive this truck everywhere and show it on the weekends. Your Ideas are welcome! The truck already has a welded in rear roll pan and stake pockets.

I would prefer smaller mirrors. Chrome bumpers always look good on these year trucks. My personal preference is to have a little chrome on a truck. With silver paint you could put just about any interior in that you wanted. I think the marker light thing is just personal preference. If you are going to shave all those other things then you may want to shave them also. Think about filling that seam on the back of the cab above the window.

yup shave that seam along the roof/rear window, and I'd shave the markers. or maybe you can be the guy to find out if 72 markers (they're better looking IMO) will fit in their place? leave a little chrome especially if you're keeping those rims. and for the interior, I'd say go with something like light gray/dark gray, maybe a deep red, I'd skip all the "earthy" colors like tan, green, brown, even yellow...

your truck will look sharp in silver. But i would leave a chrome front bumper on it and i'd also leave the side markers.
Just my ideas

ditch the markers since you are going to the trouble of removing the trim. I also agree with the post above, smaller mirrors look better. These are just my opinions.
