NOS Parts

I found a guy who is somewhat close to me who apparently has a stock pile of NOS parts for a 72 cheyenne super that he is trying to sell. I plan on driving down to his place tomorrow evening to check it all out and hopefully come home with some good NOS parts. I was just curious what the big ticket NOS items are. He has a RF fender, tailgate, heater control, emblems, lenses, weather strip, front and rear bumpers, and tons of other stuff. If some people can just give me an idea as to what I should try and bring home and what some values are I would really appreciate it, thank you.

And your reward shall be PICTURES of what I get!!!!!!!

Re: NOS Parts

The stuff you mentioned is a good start. I'm sure you know what's important, useful, and desirable. Trim and sheet metal are top priority, but anything GM is better than repro.

10-4, I was joking but I could see how someone could misinterpret that. I'm gonna try and check it out tomorrow and hopefully get some pictures

He said he has a complete set of lower woodgrain trim. I'll be sure to try and grab that

Here are the parts. Nothing to specific but you can let your imagination fill in the blanks. I'll get more detailed pictures in the next couple of days.

Re: NOS Parts

Here's the truck. Original 71 Cheyenne Super, nothing special. 350-th350, lwb, bench seat, no air, no tach, no tilt. Perfect cab corners and rockers tho and zero rust. The right front fender was recently replaced with a NOS front fender, it's in primer now and still has the GM part # sticker on the inside.

Re: NOS Parts

Thanks guys, some of the NOS parts will be for sale and some are going on other projects. As for the truck, hopefully some of the parts will be sold to re-pay what the entire lot was bought for. If that happens then it'll get put in storage and saved for a later date. I'm thinkin the swb wood fleetside bed that I have in CA would look good behind this thing on a new frame but only time will tell. Having a solid rust free cab that is running and registered is never a bad thing to have around. It'll get driven, little upgrades here and there, but mostly enjoyed

For sure, you're welcome anytime. We got two more trucks for you to check out, soon to be 3, maybe 4. And Jane is getting the rest of the body bolted on hopefully next week.
