American Eagle 15" won't fit my 72 K10???

I just bought a set of 15x10 6lug 5.5" American Eagle #058 aluminum rims and they won't fit around my 72 K10 pick-up front stock disc brakes. Mounted-up the rims with 33" 12.50's tires and it was looking good until they tried to mount the fronts to the truck. The barrel of the rim locks-up around the disc brake mechanism (not enough diameter room inside the rim for the brakes). Has any of you ever had trouble with 15" American Eagle wheels mounted to my year of truck? American Eagle says this is the first time they have heard about this problem with their rims. I've owned the truck since new and I KNOW these are the stock "Delco" brake system.

Thanks for your feedback

Re: American Eagle 15" won't fit my 72 K10???

Always heard some disc brake conversions would require some slight alterations especially with certain backspaced rims. This maybe a solution for you. Or wheel adapter plates or 3/4 " spacers. I believe that's what is required for Boss wheels. On 2WD some even have interference getting full lock to lock without contacting the lower stock A arms in front. Maybe someone will chime in on your wheels.
