Where do my brake lights go

So I'm going to buy some lights to make my truck completely street legal. I want to buy the correct brake lights. I'm not sure if either of the ones back there are even right. See if you can tell from the photos and perhaps someone can tell me where the right ones go and what they should look like (or a similar part at a distributor.)

Thanks!

Re: Where do my brake lights go

the second photo (off the tailgate on the right side), is how they came. Its a metal bracket bolted to the rear of the bed post, and holds the light assembly and lense.

I deleted my revers light (it was an option, so I don't HAVE to run it according to the law). And put an led tail light in its place.
pic is a weird angle but you get the point
