drop spindles rubbing 15" rim

I do not know what spindles I have. They came in a package deal. I just mounted my 8" truck rallys and the lower a-arm and the steering arm are extremely close to rubbing. If I turn the wheel to lock in either direction they will lockup on the lower a-arm. They have the casting #'s G M T 130-90 and 218-90 respectively. I'm kinda bummed on this. Any info out there? Thanks a heap and a whole lot in advance.

From what little I know, the edge of the LCA is going to need to be clearanced about 1/2-3/4 inch. you can do this with a grinder.

Yep, this is common with lowering spindles/15x8s on chevy trucks.

I was thinking the same thing and also adding 1/4" spacers to each side.

Re: drop spindles rubbing 15" rim

This is VERY common on any 15" wheel with more than 3.5" backspacing.
Your 8" ralley wheels have a 4" BS.

Just trim the lower a-arm with a grinder.
Takes about 5 minutes per side.

I also was unaware of this on my build before I bolted up the 8" ralleys and had to clearance the LCA's. There are threads in here with photos so you can see what you're in for. It took me more than 5 minutes.
