5" backspacing
Just talked to coys and they said they could get me a 18x8 with 5" backspacing for the front. Will this work ok? I am running a 4.5/6 drop, on a 70 with disc brake front end. If this will work I can have my wheels by this weekend. They are still waiting on the 4.5" backspacing. Hope I can get some quick input so maybe I can get my wheels this weekend. Thanks, Nathan

Re: 5" backspacing
I would rather have the 5" backspace up front.
I've had 17x8 wheels with 5" bs. So your 18's should be fine.

Re: 5" backspacing
Since they didn't make a 70 disc brake front end, you may need to be a bit more specific. Is it a 71 and newer or one of the conversions where you use drum spindles with a G-body rotor that has a 4.75 bolt center? The conversion might not push the rotor face out 3/4" like the truck discs.
