Pictures of my 5/6 drop
Here's a few pics of the drop I just did.
I used all Western Chassis 2.5 spindles and springs in the front with a flip kit, shackles and a c-notch in the rear. Thank you guys for the help. This site is very informative. BLUE SQUARE |

Re: Pictures of my 5/6 drop
How much did that cost you in the end. Reason I ask is since I put in drop shackles I've had the "lower" craze and static drops seem to be a whole heck of a lot cheaper than air ride and the likes.

Has a great stance now Blue square. Looks clean. Man I gotta get mine done one day. You do that in one day or several? Hows the ride now?

Re: Pictures of my 5/6 drop
Here is a before an after just to give you an idea.
The tires are 215 75 (I thought they would rub, but the haven't yet). A good rule is to keep your wheels straight when pulling in to driveways - If you lowride or have big wheels. The whole drop project took me 2 weeks. Keep in mind that I power washed painted under the bed, installed a c-notch, and changed the oil in the rear diff. Also, I had some deep surface rust on the front driver side frame rail just under the master cylinder. I had to excavate all the rust, etch prime, and paint to prevent future rust in that area. I also still have to do the alignment. Thanks for all the compliments, guys. BLUE SQUARE |

Re: Pictures of my 5/6 drop
I just went on McGaughys web site. 60-72 they have 2.5" spindles. 73-87 they have 2" spindles. They only show 1" and 2" drop springs for c10. Which is why I asked Blue what springs he had. I believe he said he had Western spindles. I like the way his truck sits.
