Air helper springs?
Hey guys, I'm currently looking into picking up a boat that I plan to be towing with my 1970 C10. It is a 4 speed that is essentially stock. No power brakes but that will be the first thing I do. I been searching around for some air helper springs that can go inside the rear coils for load leveling but I am surprised that I can't find anything so far. Does anybody know of any companies that make a helper spring for our trucks? Or maybe an application that will work with our springs?
Thanks, Angelo |

Re: Air helper springs?
How big is the boat? I've pulled lots of boats and trailers with C10's with no air springs or power brakes. So it really depends on what you're pullin'. If it's just a 16 footer or less... I doubt you'd need any air springs.

Currently I'm looking at a 16 footer but I haven't ruled out the idea of a 20 footer. Do you have any other tips for prepping the truck for towing?

Re: Air helper springs?
This should be very close if not the actual kit for your truck. Adding a power booster is a good idea as well.
