front brake rotor thickness

When measuring the rotors you measure thickness but what if the rotors have been cut?How can you tell what you have?I ordered a set of cpp modular spindels for my 87 and told vendor I had 1" thick rotors and got a call back that they woudn't work because the spindle is for 1.25" rotors only. What would I have to change to make these spindels work. Can I just change the rotors and bearings and use my calipers, pads, and all the other things along with it.

Calipers match the rotors. You could reuse the pads but why? New rotors ought to get new pads and your already there.

Re: front brake rotor thickness

Calipers, rotors, spindles, and bearings all have to match.

Re: front brake rotor thickness

I completely understand what you mean about putting new pads.My thing is I only want to spend the money once on spindels that i can upgrade to a wilwood big break set up in the future.I want to run all my facory brake system with 15"ralleys being that i dont have the funds for new wheels and the brake kit at the moment.
