k10 with k5 top and tailgate

Does anyone know if a k5 blazer top will fit on a k10 bed. How about the tailgate swap? I am thinking about extending the blazer top and putting the blazer tailgate on a k10 shortbed? Anyone ever do this? Any pictures? The reason being to get more room for hauling people and stuff.

Never seen it done before. Thats alot of fabrication work just to have a shell with a sliding window in the tailgate. I would think it would be easier to get a camper shell made for your truck and just bolt a seat in or buy a K5. Best of luck with whatever you decide.

Re: k10 with k5 top and tailgate

Well you'll have to have the back end from a K5 to start with. The quarters on a K5 are totally different than the bedsides on a truck. And the top off the K5 has no front to it, so you'll have to make you a front panel to keep it weather proof somewhat. You can not just toss the top on and try to secure it to the back of the cab, it'll rip apart the first time you take a corner or hit a dip or a chug hole.

What good will it do to have seats in the bed that you have to crawl up in the bed to even use? Sorry, just sounds sorta Mickey Mouse to me. Put a topper on your truck or buy a K5, much simpler and will function better.
