Hood latch ?

Does the 67 to 72 hood latch area have a spring to help pop the hood up like the 87 does?

Re: Hood latch ?

Not on the latch itself. The spring is in the actual pin connected to the hood. Hope this helps.

Re: Hood latch ?

Speaking of hood latches . . . .

Has anyone come up with a locking hood latch for the 67 - 72 trucks? You know - pull a handle under the dash to open the hood? I have a 67 Suburban that I would like to have a locking hood latch and I can't see any way to convert it so it can only be opened from under the dash.

I think I know what you mean, but do you have a picture of it? Thanks. And does LMC sell one?

I think there is a "HOW TO" in the FAQ Truck Tech forum.
