need help on wheel size

so my truck is stock still but i am going to add a 3/5 or 3/5.5 drop. i want it level and low. but i have six lugs. i wanna get some new wheels but know i am going to have to go bigger. i am thinking 18 or 20's. what size of tire on the back can i run?(i want it WIDE like maby drag radials or street/strip) and with what back spacing? same for the front but alot narrower. also does anyone wanna recommend wheels and tires?

Re: need help on wheel size

Just saw this thread.... You can run a 8 to 8.5" wide up front, and a 10" in the rear. If you are thinking 18's, I would suggest an 18x8 and 18x10..... and for 20's, a 20x8.5 and 20x10.

That NT05 is a nice looking tire, and has good performance aspects. What I like, is it is available in a 315/35/20, which is also what I am running on the back of my 84 C10.

Re: need help on wheel size

I would run a 4.75" backspace on the rear. It is always good to measure to confirm, but that is backspace that works. You could squeeze the 315 in the rear.... it might rub a little but it can be done. As for the front, a 245 or 255 would be a good size to go with.

Take a look at the Nitto 420S as well.
