high oil pressure?

Gonna make this short. Replace oil pump and pickup put in 20 w 50. Now my oil pressure is around 60 psi. I had never seen it over 30 before. I put in a standard flow pump. Anything to worry about?

Is that a warm pressure or a cold pressure? What rpm is this pressure? Why are you running 20w50 and not say 10w40? What is the outdoor temp? How many miles on the motor? How many miles on the oil?

10 lbs per 1000 rpm is a good number.60 lbs is good

I get 95-100psi cold with 5W30 synthetic in my Z06 427, so I wouldn't panic. I think 60 is about right, even warm, at mid rpms.

I don't know why you'd be running 20W50 though... this ain't the 80s anymore :-) Unless you've got an oil consumption problem you're trying to fix, even with the old sloppy bearing tolerances 5W or 10W was good enough.

I swapped to 20w50 to bring the pressure up some(it was advised on a previous post of mine) . I just didn't expect that high.

Idk how many miles on engine ive had the truck since April. I was having low pressure issues so I put in a new pump and pickup and new oil today. It went down to about 50 psi once it warmed up a little. The outside temp was probably only low 90s today.

There was a bunch of trash clogging my pickup screen. It was so oily I cant tell it is metal or plastic. Ill clean it up and get a better look at it later. It kinds looked like plastic, maybe a broken up ring or seal.
