Edelbrock Carbs tip!
For those of us who have changed over to Edlebrock carbs, on the choke models (1406 etc.) there is a port just below the choke that leaks vacuum.
In the directions for installation, they tell you to check for vac leaks but do not address this leak. SO I naturally just plugged the thing! Welllllll, accordingly to the support boys at Edelbrock, this port is supposed to leak just a bit of Vacuum to cool the electronic coil housed inside the choke!!!! DA, you would think they would tell you that in the directions!!!! SO, if your have an edelbrock carb with choke, do not plug up this little vacuum hole or you will cook the electronic coil within the choke. NOW HE TELLS ME~~~~~~! Huck |
