taking my bed off?

I HAVE AN 86 swb when I took off the bed there where no mounts? Is that right or should it just bolt to the frame no insulator?

wasn't any insulators on mine and the bed lines up with the cab

Yep.

I suppose if you wanted you could lay a little piece of mylar or plastic for the bed to sit on, but there was nothing there from the factory.
