There cold cast from resin. Made a mold from milled out emblem and cnc'd the numbers, then made the neg mold from silicone.

Re: Custom 6.0l emblem

That's pretty slick. You could also do a set that looks just like the originals, but says "364". That would get people asking questions.

I made some 364 emblems for my blue shortbed. There's pics in my build thread in my sig. I'll try to get a pic on here.

these were cast from resin too, turned out good, but way more work than it was worth since most people didn't even notice them.

It's a long drawn out tedious process, but heres the short version. I took a 400 and a 396 emblem and made a mold from them. Then I cast resin copies from the molds. The resin copies are easier to glue together than using the actual pot metal emblems. After that I cut the 396 emblem after the 3, then cut the 6 off and glued it to the first part. Then took the 400 emblem and cut the 4 off of it and glued it to the 3 and the 6. Once it was all glued together, I made a mold from it, and cast a copie of the 364 emblem and did some final clean up on it, removing the lines left from where the pieces were glued together. After it was all cleaned up, I made yet another mold only this one makes better copies. They aren't perfect, and if you really get up close and personal looking at it you can still see some lines in it in the painted black part, but you have to really be looking for it. I was going to have them painted in chrome paint (there was a place around here that could paint anything to look like chrome, the same chrome that dash bezels are painted with), but I sold the truck and never did.

THe problem you're going to have is that there is no production truck emblem that has a 7 in it. Not sure what to tell you to do about that.

Here's the best I have. It's just chopped up pieces of an 8-396 and 8-400 that I put together in a picture editor software.
