GMC L.E.D.s?

Are L.E.D. park/turn signal lamps made for the GMCs?

Re: GMC L.E.D.s?

haven't seen any gmc's yet. I know they make them for all year chevys now as well as led brake, reverse, and deluxe sidemarker lights (and cargo and dome as well actually)

Re: GMC L.E.D.s?

I've thought about putting L.E.D. tail lamps in but wondered about the fronts...on GMCs,so thought I'd finally ask. I put L.E.D.s in for tail lamps in a ('95) utility body truck way back when they first came out. I mean like before you saw any trucks running them. And,then car manufacturers started using them. With only rear L.E.D.s it made my lights flash really fast, like when a bulb is burnt out because they draw so little. I ended up making my front park/turn signal lamps L.E.D. on that truck and used a load equalizer. Not sure I want to go through all that again. Has anyone had any issues like that using just rear L.E.D.s?

I have the rear LEDs only and I got a special flasher that makes them blink at the same rate as the front. Can't remember where I got it but it may have been LMC where I got the LEDs

Just get one of these, wire it up and never look back...

Re: GMC L.E.D.s?

I had GMC front lights built for me by 724x4a/cchevy. Did a great job.

Re: GMC L.E.D.s?

I need to talk to 724x4a/cchevy and see how much. I did my own on the '95 but would rather not on this truck. I've already got too many irons in the fire. The GMC park lights aren't exactly the most prominent lights out there, especially somewhat obscured being down below the bumper a bit.

Thats who I got mine from. Can you guys tell me how you mounted them in the buckets? Mine dont seem to clear the lenses, that is to say they dont seem to fit down inside the buckets far enough to let the lenses seat all the way down or allow the gaskets to clear the edges of the LEDs.

Re: GMC L.E.D.s?

I just took a sharp Olfa knife & trimmed the edges. I had to do the same to the rears. I found that to get the circuit board to fit just inside the lenses, I had to just shave off the edges without punching into the soldering.

Re: GMC L.E.D.s?

I seem to remember $70ish for the front turns.
