Lug Nut Torque - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

Hi,

I was told to torque the lug nuts to 120lbs, does this sound about right?
The rig is a 78 GMC 2wd half ton with smoothie wheels.

pretty sure it was 100lbs.

found it...

c10 is 65-90lbs.

are they factory or aftermarket rims. that makes a big different. steel or alu. most alu. are 100 to 110

I would also retorque after about 25 miles

Definatly retorque aluminum rims after around 25 miles, ive seen peoples wheels fly off because of this reason
